I create characterful art forms using a wide variety of discarded materials. My choice of components has little or no relevance to its former life or use, to me it’s just a shape which can turn antlers into arms, funnels into skirts, juicers into dogs ……. Great fun . More recently I have extended my range of media into the magical world of cyanotypes, and I’m also experimenting with embellished textiles in both two and three dimensions. Making art forms is my passion, giving rusted tools, shoe lasts , cutlery , egg cups, candlesticks, ropes, threads and a multitude of other “stuff” a new identity. It is so rewarding, especially as many people are intrigued as to how I construct them and remark on their unique qualities.
