I have spent most of my life painting.
After Art College I worked commercially for many years illustrating childrens books, greetings cards and magazine articles. More recently my love of painting flowers and gardens has come to the fore. I paint in watercolour or coloured pencil on smooth paper in order to achieve the delicate detail of the flowers and fruit that I love to portray. After completing The Society of Botanical Artists Diploma course with distinction, I now paint my fruit and flowers more as still lifes rather than true botanicals. I just enjoy painting the delicacy and colour of the natural world
